Windows
Choosing replacement windows can seem a bit of a nightmare.
There's plenty of choice and plenty of installers to choose from too.
When it comes to choosing the right windows, here are some thoughts:
Start with the opening
How do you want your windows to open? There
is a wide range, traditional casement, tilt and turn, vertical sliders
to name just a few.
Profiles or frames around your windows
These should be slim and
elegant but also very strong. We recommend 70mm. Beading the surround that holds your glass in place - by selecting a
design that complements your frames and reflects your home's interior
you can provide the perfect finish for your replacement windows
Finishes available
As well as the widely used white UPVC, light oak
and mahogany are also now becoming popular - plus there's the
flexibility of having either wood or white finishes for the interior
Decorative glass
Lead patterns add a distinctive touch to your
windows - Elizabethan leaded, Georgian leaded and Georgian bars to name
but a few
Security
All windows come internally glazed for added security and
have a shoot bolt locking system or espang windows locking in the open
position. Self locking handles supplied at no extra cost.
